West Coast Nature Experience - Thursday 17th November 1000 hours to 1500 hours
Today visit one of the highlights of the region where you have the chance to see one of the world’s largest seabirds in its natural environment. Your journey takes you to one of only two mainland Gannet nesting sites in the world situated on the cliff tops overlooking the Tasman Sea. Here you get a close up view of Gannet behaviour without disturbing their environment. This ocean dwelling bird grows up to two metres in wingspan and can reach speeds of 146 km per hour. Then take the scenic walk down to Muriwai Beach – a long, flat, black sand beach. At the beach find a picnic table and eat your lunch.
Enjoy this refreshing and unique tour away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Cost per person is $95.00 based on a minimum of 5 passengers. Cost includes mini van, driver/guide and New Zealand Goods and Services Tax at 12.5%.
Guests should bring their own lunch, or a stop will be made en-route so that guests can purchase their own lunches. Guests need to wear sturdy walking shoes and bring a rain coat, sun screen, sun hat and camera.
Tour of indulgence - Friday 18th November 1000 hours to 1500 hours
Today visit a winery and sample award winning wines, sample liqueur and schnapps that will warm the “cockles of your heart” and sample kiwifruit wines and liqueurs. Then visit several arts, crafts and gift shops including Crystal Mountain where you will marvel at the variety of crystals and rocks from around the world. Guests can purchase their own lunches at the Crystal Mountain Café where they can eat either indoors or outdoors.
Use this tour to purchase gifts for yourselves or friends, or begin your Christmas present buying spree today.
Cost per person is $102.00 based on a minimum of 5 passengers. Cost includes mini van, driver/guide, wine tasting charges and New Zealand Goods and Services Tax at 12.5%.
Sightseeing Tour Of Auckland City - Saturday 19th November 1000 hours to 1500 hours
Travel across the Auckland Harbour bridge and then on to the summit of Mount Eden. This 196 metre high volcano was formed about 20,000 years ago and is one of Auckland’s most famous landmarks. As the highest volcano on the Auckland isthmus, it provides good views over the city, the Waitemata and Manukau Harbours. Have your camera ready so that you can take great photos of Auckland city and beyond. Next drive through the Auckland Domain – 179 hectares of public parkland, gardens, sports fields etc - to the Auckland Museum. Guests will have 1 hour to explore this outstanding Museum. Entry is by donation (suggested donation is $5.00 per person), which guests pay direct to the Museum.
Then on to Parnell for a lunch stop (at own cost) and a chance to discover the boutique shops of Parnell before visiting the glorious Parnell Rose Gardens. Then travel along Tamaki Drive to a seaside suburb where a stop will be made for a leisurely walk and maybe an ice cream before travelling back to the North Shore.
