Bulletin #7 |
|
| 45C CUSTOMISED ADVERTISING LABELS | |
| | _ | Issue No 1 has almost sold out. They will be listed in the next Len Jury catalogue, along with the earlier CAL issues. Some of these are now modern day rarities that command big prices.
Issue No 2 features the Ketch “Huon Chief” of Kermadec Island Fame and the 1935 1/- Tui. The Tui with the distinctive tuft of feathers at its throat was recently voted the most popular bird in New Zealand.
The origins of the “Huon Chief” stamp (see pages 790-793 Royal Phil. Soc. Volume 5) are clouded in mystery and intrigue.
Once again they will be offered in blocks of four or a se-tenant block of four. The First Day Cover will be at the Exhibition.
Illustrations of the proofs of these two CALs are available at Pictures at an Exhibition
See "How to Order" later in this Bulletin.
The Sales of these items have been of huge assistance in raising funds for the Exhibition.
Tell your stamp collecting friends about these two items so that they also enjoy all the fun and pleasure of NZ 2005 Stamp Show.
