| ENTRIES - A QUICK GLIMPSE | |
| | _ | One of the first features to strike you as you consult your Catalogue and stroll around the frames, is the number of entries associated with Flight. This is either the Feathered variety as a subject for numerous entries, as well as AIRMAILS from early flights, including Zeppelins, New Zealand pioneers, Flying Boat services to and from New Zealand, to a specialised entry on New Zealand’s First Kiwi stamp.
There are spectacular entries about Horses on stamps. It could be cheaper to encourage your daughter to pursue her horse interest with a stamp collection. Much safer and could lead to overseas travel!
There are many other subjects on display which will engage your interest for more than a few minutes. One of the subjects that will be of intense interest for me is an entry on Exhibitions from 1889, including my “pet” subject of the 1913-14 Auckland Exhibition. I am sure you also will find exhibits that will be an absolute delight to you to be able to see and study.
A Floor Plan of the Exhibition Hall, showing the location of the various exhibits, is available in the Exhibition Catalogue, available from the Reception Desk in the Foyer.
